I would like to take this opportunity of informing you that we established Japan MID Association as of April 1, 2002, dissolving the former MID Research Task Group and taking over its activities for further development in the wake of a new period of Growth. We will focus our efforts on strengthening our activities as the sole organizedbody representing the MID industry in Japan.
Our organization has members across the whole country.
Members consist of corporations and individuals associated with electronic equipment and plastic industries nationwide. Our members cover a wide range of industries from electronics parts, materials, and manufacturing processes industries to related trading companies to end-users across the nation.
We have networks extending nationwide and overseas.
We communicate actively with related governmental organizations, academic societies, and trade organizations. Our activities extend to the international arena by participating in international conferences and communicating with organizations overseas.
We have been engaging in activities to promote industries facilitating MID as the core technology.
The circumstances surrounding the industry, such as the transfer of manufacturing facilities overseas, as well as quality and environmental protection measures are undergoing rapid changes every day. Given this situation our organization will make every effort to expand its activities to develop and promote the industry.
